Galip Emre Yildirim writes:
"France’s Mediterranean policy can be analyzed from a historical perspective and through the actual conjuncture related to its geopolitical and geo-cultural elements, such as the West-East civilization dilemma and colonization background."
The author addresses:
"Although these two elements are complementary to each other, they intersect with the political and economic interests of the Turkish state in the region."
The writer explains:
"France’s policy has become intertwined with its involvement in the Eastern Mediterranean dispute against Turkey as a result of the natural gas discovery in recent years in the region."
Galip Emre Yildirim writes:
"France’s identification of Turkey as an ‘external enemy’ reflects the former’s political and economic concerns in regard to the Mediterranean gas reserves."
The writer points out:
"Therefore, the envisaged French leadership in the region insists that the EU adopt an exclusionary political approach toward Turkey with the political and diplomatic support of France for Greece and Cyprus."
According to the author:
"The existing regional problems, however, need to be resolved on the basis of equity, not by ignoring the rights of the parties, but by integrating them."
Galip Yildirim states:
"This is necessary for the peaceful resolution of these concerns."

Batu Coskun writes:
"Macron is under the impression that France is a great power that can influence international politics."
The author addresses:
"He is convinced that France has a mission, sanctified by its colonial past, to shape the politics of former colonial possessions,exemplified recently in Macron's trips to disaster-stricken Lebanon in a bid to build new Lebanese leadership."
Mr. Coskun states:
"Make no mistake, France was never the "giant" Britain was, and hence Macron's recent imperialist crusade makes his situation even more ludicrous."
The author notes:
"France has always perceived itself as an alternative hegemon in the international order."

The writer explains:
"Under Gaullist foreign policy (a French political approach based on the thought of late French President General Charles de Gaulle), France broke off from NATO, pulling French forces from NATO's central command structure in 1966."

Asif Narimanli writes:
"Moscow is sending a message to Baku, which is dissatisfied with the activities of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh and insists on the expulsion of Armenian terrorists."
The author addresses :
"Macron spoke with Pashinyan after Putin, and then Armenian terrorists in Karabakh expanded the front of provocation: the attacks appear to be part of Paris and Yerevan's plans to "return the issue to the Minsk Group format";
"However, given Russia's ability to influence the Armenian militants in Karabakh, it is likely that this is a game of Moscow: the Russians want to show the prospects for the development of the process if Azerbaijan's interests are threatened;
Mr. Narimanli emphasizes :
"All this strengthens the hand of Armenia and the Armenian terrorists in Karabakh."
The writer concludes:
"And the only way is to speak a language they understand."
